Current Archaeology Nominates the Gloucester Project for 'Rescue Project of the Year'

The Gloucester Project is honoured to have been nominated with our partners Norfolk Historic Shipwrecks, Norfolk Museums Service, and the Gloucester 1682 Trust for the award of 'Rescue Project of the Year' at the 2024 Current Archaeology Awards. The research from the project has focused on rescued artefacts that are otherwise threatened by the wreck deteriorating, with many of these artefacts featuring in the recent exhibition at Norwich Castle Museum.

These awards are voted for entirely by the public. Voting is now open and closes on 5 February 2024. Please consider voting for 'The Gloucester: Piecing Together the Story of a Royal Wreck' here
